Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 2026. HC Real is an early-access product. This policy explains the current MVP architecture honestly: local memory on your device, cloud AI for intelligence, and a small backend for access, trial, subscriptions and usage limits.

1. What HC Real is

HC Real is a mobile AI companion designed around a local-first memory principle. The app helps users remember context, continue conversations, use Vision features and receive AI-generated responses.

2. Local memory on your phone

Information that HC Real remembers about you — such as plans, notes, reminders, shopping items, personal facts or ongoing context — is stored locally on your phone in the app database.

HC Real’s backend is not designed to create a permanent centralized cloud memory profile about your life.

3. Cloud AI processing through Groq

HC Real is not a fully offline AI. To generate intelligent answers, HC Real currently sends the active message and relevant context to AI models provided by Groq.

Groq is used as the intelligence layer for generating responses. It is not intended to be your permanent HC Real memory database.

4. Vision processing

When you choose to use Vision, the selected image may be sent to an AI model for analysis, translation, object recognition, text reading or scene understanding.

Images are processed to generate a response. HC Real’s backend is not designed to store them as a permanent visual memory profile.

5. Account, trial and subscription data

HC Real’s backend may process your email address, verification status, trial status, subscription status, usage limits, Stripe customer/subscription identifiers and basic technical data required to operate the service.

Email verification codes are sent through Brevo. Payments, subscription management and cancellation are handled through Stripe.

6. Backend hosting and service providers

The HC Real backend currently runs on Google Cloud Run. The website may be hosted through Vercel. The service may use Groq, Brevo and Stripe to provide AI responses, email verification and billing.

7. Your control

You can clear local memory from inside the app. Removing the app or clearing local app data may also delete locally stored memory. Account, payment and security records may remain where required for service operation, fraud prevention, legal, tax or accounting reasons.

8. Children and sensitive use

HC Real is not intended for children. Do not use HC Real for emergency, medical, legal, financial or safety-critical decisions. AI responses may be wrong.
